cylindrical, apical rounded with ocular chamber and faint ring, with short pedicels. Ascospores uniseriate to partially overlapping, fusoid, brown, 1-septate, slightly constricted at the septum. Anamorph: none reported. Material examined: BRUNEL, Jalan, Muara, Simpang 835, on dead rachis of Oncosperma horridum on forest floor, Nov. 1992, K.D. Hyde 1652 (BRIP 21354, holotype). Concluding remarks The saprobic habitat and association with monocots, cylindrical asci, trabeculate pseudoparaphyses as well as its brown, 1-septate ascospores make it difficult to determine a better phylogenetic position than Didymellaceae.
