The essential-oil yields observed in the initial two years were 3.85 +/- 0.22 mL/plant/year. The essential-oil content varied from 0.34 +/- 0.05 to 0.44 +/- 0.04% in different seasons. A total of thirty-eight constituents, representing 85.5-94.7% of the total oil compositions were identified using gas chromatography (GC) and GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS)
methods. Geraniol (10.7-20.8%), neral (15.0-18.0%), geranyl acetate (16.0-22.7%), geranial (19.7-24.7%), and limonene (1.9-6.1%) were identified as the major constituents of the essential-oil. health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) is multifaceted and involves many factors. One of them is the use of dental implants. It was the aim of our study to assess whether click here implant therapy might improve OHRQoL. We consulted patients with at least one Astra Tech implant. Each patient completed oral health questionnaires, which were then statistically evaluated using the Wilcoxon signed-ranks test and Analysis of Covariance from a functional and aesthetic point of view. Differential response on individual scales was assessed using multivariate approach. All twelve marginal Wilcoxon tests showed an overall improvement in OHQoL (alpha = 0.05). On the aesthetic scale,
OHRQoL was found to be associated with marital status, aesthetic reasons for undergoing surgery and number of front teeth replaced by implants. On the functional scale, three covariates were statistically significantly and appeared to have affected the levels of OHRQoL. The most significant explanatory effect was observed for the number of front teeth replaced via implantation, followed by the presence of chewing problems. Marital status was also found to have significantly affected the OHRQoL functional scale. “Background Hepatitis B virus (HBV) recurrence is one of the more severe complications following liver transplantation. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play a key role in human immunity by recognizing various bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the TLRs are thought to have an impact on the susceptibility to some pathogens. This study focused on the association between polymorphisms in the TLRs and HBV recurrence after liver transplantation in Han Chinese patients.
Methods. A total of 41 tag SNPs in TLRs were detected by the snapshot technique in 125 patients with primary HBV-related diseases receiving liver transplantation in our center from 2004 to 2008.
